The KMA Student Poster Competition is a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to become involved in KMA, share their research in a professional conference setting, network with museum professionals, and compete for prize money.
The Poster Session features student poster presentations with an academic or professional focus related to museums, public history, cultural heritage, anthropology, or related fields.
The poster format provides an excellent introduction to conference presenting, particularly for students who have never presented at a professional conference or who would like to share new or ongoing research in an informal and welcoming environment.
During the Poster Session, presenters will stand with their posters and interact with conference attendees. Students should be prepared to:
Competition Categories
Posters will be judged in two categories: undergraduate and graduate students.
Winners will receive a monetary prize. The number of prizes awarded will depend on the number of entries in each category.
